Most important: All sliding, rolling or other moving parts are outside. Therefore particle generation is extremely low. And the mechanics is track-guided during the whole stroke. Nothing can hang out, it is not possible to disturb the movement of the two axles.
Here also, like in the "normal" Gate Valve, an L-cam is guiding the valve plate and the mechanics.
A metal bellows tightens the vacuum from outside.
A vulcanised gasket on the valve plate tightens on a plain surface of the housing.
